Deepen your understanding of anatomy, mobility, meditation and apply this knowledge in your MT practice or yoga classes.

This 16-hour course includes an exploration of the anatomy and kinesiology of the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral spine, and pelvis. Also examined is the nervous system and pathologies of the spine. You will understand how yoga poses, asanas, can help to heal some pathologies of the spine and how some asanas can be modified in certain medical conditions to support mobility.

Learning about anatomy and pathology is important for mobility as the skeletal system, joints, muscles, and connective tissues all play an important role in stability and movement such as walking or running and affect the daily lives of patients/students. Ligaments prevent joints from moving too far; tendons are extensions of muscles attaching to the bone, and cartilage covers the ends of bones in movable joints.

Your instructor, Dr. Brett Wade, has the unique distinction of being a physiotherapist, anatomy professor, and yoga teacher. We hope you have fun and enjoy the class. You have access to the course for 1 full year after purchase.
