Jessica Nobrega, B.Sc., E-RYT 200, Grace & Flow, Director of NASYS
A former scientist from the environmental industry, Jessica Nobrega is energetic and positive, passionate about community and informed health and wellness. A 200hr RYT who trained in Kelowna BC under the tutelage of Dr. Brett Wade and Naresh King with a focus on anatomy and class flow, Jessica provides energetic release while respecting individual limitations.
When she’s not teaching yoga or spending time with her two children, Jessica is working with other leaders in the community helping to create change on how work-life balance is defined through her business Grace & Flow. She is most interested in a holistic approach to life, family and business, and understands the pressures women put on themselves in todays fast-paced world. Jessica helps women create space and stronger boundaries to protect their joy, creativity and productivity.
Jessica finds outrageous joy in combining her love of event planning and bringing together expert speakers with yoga and wellness.
Siri Marken, BScOT, MEd, E-RYT 500, YACEP. CO-FOUNDER of NASYS
Siri Marken, B.Sc OT, M.Ed. is a registered occupational therapist and yoga instructor. Siri is a college professor and has over 14 years practicing as an occupational therapist across Canada. She has a master's degree in Education from McGill University in Montreal. Siri is the co-founder of the Ekahi Center for Yoga and Mindfulness in Kelowna, BC and the North American School of Yoga Science. She teaches Hatha and Yin classes at the Ekahi Center. Siri is a certified yoga wellness educator.
Siri's 200 hour training was alignment based training through SOYA. She completed her 500 hour training through Semperviva. In the NASYS teacher training, Siri teaches lessons on kriyas, pranayamas, ethics, philosophy, and anatomy. In the 500 hour training, Siri teaches: Chair yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and assists in Anatomy and Meditation training.
Brett Wade, B.Sc PT, MPT, PhD, E-RYT 200, RYT-500, YACEP. CO-FOUNDER of NASYS
Brett Wade is the co-founder of the Ekahi Center for Yoga and Mindfulness and the North American School of Yoga Science. Dr. Wade is the author of the much celebrated book, Ekahi Method: Master the Waves of Life. He is a college professor and teaches courses in anatomy, pathology, and rehabilitation. His doctoral research examined for correlations with the geomagnetic field and multiple sclerosis. He has numerous scientific publications and is a regular speaker and leader in meditation and mindfulness presentations and practices. Brett has been practicing meditation for over 25 years.
Brett teaches the yoga history, meditation, anatomy, and pathology sections. He has over 23 years experienced as a licensed physiotherapist. Brett is a graduate of the NASYS Yoga Teacher Training. He currently teaches private meditation and Raja yoga classes.
